1- Current or load balance test:

Load balancing is the important factor in electrical system. It means all three phases should be loaded as equal. Maximum unbalance load should not be more than 30% which can be tolerated by system. If the unbalance load is more than 30% then the system may be failure.

So for better health of equipment, the unbalance load is tested. It is tested through clamp meter or amp meter.

Electrical Unbalance load(current): testing diagram and procedure.

3- Load(Current) test kit:

  • Panel busbar cover open close required tool.
  • Clamp meter.
  • Electrical rubber gloves.
  • Safety shoes.
  • All required tool will be properly insulated.

4- Safety guideline for load balancing test:

Unbalance load test is carried out on the running load panel so some precaution is important.

  • Testing equipment battery should be charged .
  • During testing electrical gloves should be wear in your hands.
  • Related panel all equipment should be ON condition.
  • Panel cover should be open and close with carefully.

5-Unbalance load test procedure:

  • All safety guideline should be followed during testing procedure which is mentioned above.
  • Open the panel side cover with carefully.
  • Select the knob of clamp meter on Amp range.
  • Open the zaw of clamp meter and capture the R phase cable.
  • Check the display and note down the testing load value.
  • Again test load on Y, B phase and Neutral with same process.
  • Neutral current shows unbalance load.
  • Comparison all phase load and find unbalance load.
  • Neutral load is also called as unbalance load.

6-Unbalance load testing observation. :

  • Comparison all phase load value and fined out unbalance load.
  • Comparison all phase difference load value with neutral load value it should be equal.
  • We can find out easily which phases is overloaded.
