RCCB- Residual current circuit breaker
Types and Their Functions:
1- RCCB- Residual Current Circuit Breaker:
RCCB is used for leakage current sensing. It is an electromechanical protective device which is used for prevention of leakage current, earth leakage. It is also provides protection against electrical shock.
It is very important for protection against earth fault because the earth fault may be cause for system heating, short circut , burning or shock. After sensing earth fault or shock then it will tripped and circuit will be open. So many reason is available for using RCCB.
2-Types of RCCB- Residual Current Circuit Breaker::
A molded case circuit breaker is used for utilization in the distribution system. It is used mostly low tension (LT) panel and feeder panel. It is available as pole types, load types, protection types, and operation types. All types of details given below are mentioned.
1- According to The Phase:
MCCB is used for three phase system without neutral three pole and with neutral four pole.
1- Single Phase:
- Capacity:16A, 25A, 40A, 63A, 80A.
- Voltage: 240-volt AC.
2- Three Phase:
- Capacity: 25A, 40A, 63A, 80A.
- Voltage: 440-volt AC.
2- According to The Pole:
